The emergence of autumn is my favorite seasonal transition. This past weekend I celebrated my 47th trip around the sun with a camping trip to the Holy Cross Wilderness in Colorado. At 10,000+ feet elevation, the common signs of the fall season were spectacular! This included yellow aspen leaves blowing in the cool breeze, the rust-colored ground cover, and the busy squirrels preparing for an inevitable winter.
One of the greatest gifts of this camping trip was that there was no cell service. I don't realize how addicted I am to the over-stimulation of my phone until it is taken away. Once my brain released this mental addiction, the quiet whispers of my Intuition came alive.
Here are some of those Insights:
🍂The message from the yellow aspen leaves was to expect change. Not just tolerate it until “normal” returns. But to embrace the growth and resiliency that emerges from personal transformation.
🍂The message from the cool wind blowing the leaves out of my hand was to LET GO. In order for a new state of being to emerge from personal transformation, I need to release old, negative habits that keep me at a lower vibration of comfort and familiarity.
🍂The message from the busy squirrel preparing for winter reminds me that with more darkness and colder temperatures, we eventually transition to a season of restoration (winter). This gives us the opportunity to reflect on the previous seasons and rejuvenate for the next spring season to come.
Promise me that you will get outside in nature and sit in stillness before the beauty of this season passes you by. Find a place where you can observe and really listen to the songs of Mother Nature. Notice all the visual cues of what this season means for you. She is waiting for you to absorb her earth medicine. She can bring you back to balance with her intrinsic rhythms.
Put down the phone. Ask yourself:
What messages do I need to hear from my Intuition?
What changes can you embrace as a path to growth and resiliency?
What do you need to let go of to create space for personal transformation?
