Who is KALI?

Do you recognize the energetic patterns in these examples?

  • Forest Fires that burn away old trees but later new growth emerges.

  • A severed relationship that forces us to stand up for ourselves.
  • Struggling with a dis-ease that makes us re-evaluate and change our lifestyle choices.

These examples are the qualities of the goddess Kali in yogic mythology.  She is destruction... revolution... and all things that require painful change.

I think Kali is misunderstood as only rageful or violent.  There is a fierceness to her style that feels scary, but from her Energy emerges transcendence.  She is ultimately liberation from our ego's agenda to stay comfortable, which can feel like tough love.  There can emerge great beauty and deep wisdom from struggle and pain.  This "rising up out of the ashes," I have experienced personally with my own struggles of back pain from spinal fusion and autoimmunity.

There has been alot of change and friction over the past year in our world, and perhaps in your personal life.

Where do see this Kali Energy in your life?

What needed to be broken down so you could evolve into more of who you are meant to be?

I created this audio meditation to help with releasing tension and frustration when moving through this Kali-like Energy.

If you would like to explore more of the goddess Kali though her story, asana (yoga postures), mantra, mudra and journaling for a personal connection, join me this Sunday, May 2nd from 10am-12pm MDT via Zoom.  CEUs available for yoga teachers.

Sign-up for this Kali Workshop soon!
